Since the age of 4, Reverend Lon Calvin Whitfield has been an exceptional vocalist/psalmist promised to set the standard for the 21st century. Reverend Whitfield has 4 gospel CDs to his credit including several vocal and instrumental performances with major industry professionals.
Reverend Lon Calvin Whitfield D.D. Was first ordained in 1980 under the ministry of Bishop Nicolas Williams PhD of the Faithway Church of Christ Brooklyn New York and Dean of the Faithway Bible Institute. Reverend Whitfield was again in 2007 ordained as a Baptist minister under Reverend Kelmo C. Porter Jr. of St. Johns Baptist Church of Scotch Plains, NJ. Reverend Dr. Whitfield was the founder of the Fellowship Community Church Plainfield, New Jersey. Pastor Whitfield served in this capacity for 5 years has been an integral part of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Plainfield New Jersey area. In addition to preaching in witnessing to the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ's pastor Whitfield and the Fellowship Community Church has been effective resource in addressing the physical and social needs of the community. Consistently pastor Whitfield and the Fellowship Community Church has provided food baskets for the needy, crisis intervention services and family conflict resolution as well as grants and scholarships for deserving college students.
